• POD 3 is a 24/7 cardiac and transplant unit specializing in Transplant (heart, lung, liver, kidney), cardiothoracic, heart failure, vascular, endovascular, hepatobiliary, robotic transplants, thoracic, and HPB robotic surgeries, as well as Ventricular Device implants (Heart Failure program).

• Off-Shift 1030 - 2300, no call or weekends
• Experience highly preferred
• SIGN ON BONUS $12,500!!!

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Performs surgical duties for operating room procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

1. Prepares the operating room for surgical patients, reviews preference cards to determine surgeon needs, obtains necessary supplies and equipment, ensures room cleanliness, and assists with opening sterile supplies.
2. Performs surgical scrub duties, assists with the collection, identification, and disposition of cultures and specimens.
3. Assists in turning over the room, ensuring supplies, instruments, and equipment are returned to proper locations.

Minimum Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience

• No experience required; supervisor experience is a plus

• Accredited Surgical Program
