• POD 3 is a 24/7 cardiac and transplant unit specializing in Transplant (heart, lung, liver, kidney), cardiothoracic, heart failure, vascular, endovascular, hepatobiliary, robotic transplants, thoracic and HPB robotic, Ventricular Device implants (Heart Failure program).

• Off-Shift 10:30 - 23:00, no call or weekends
• Experience highly preferred
• One holiday

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Performs surgical duties for operating room procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

1. Prepares the operating room for surgical patients, reviews preference cards, obtains supplies and equipment, ensures cleanliness, and assists with opening sterile supplies.
2. Performs surgical scrub duties, and assists with the collection, identification, and disposition of cultures and specimens.
3. Assists in turnover of the room, ensuring supplies, instruments, and equipment are returned to proper locations.

Minimum Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience

• <2 years or military equivalent experience

Supervisor Experience

• No Experience required

Preferred Requirements

Education

• Accredited Surgical Program

Licenses & Certifications
