Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room by assembling instrumentation, equipment and supplies to support the surgical team. The role works under the supervision of a registered nurse alongside surgeons and anesthesia staff to deliver patient care aligned with the hospital’s mission.

Qualifications include completion of a surgical technician program, Washington registration on hire, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Certificate of completion of a surgical technician vocational program or documentation of equivalent training.
• Washington Surgical Technologist Registration upon hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the surgical procedure through the assembly of instrumentation, equipment and supplies.
• Work as a member of the surgical team under the supervision of a registered nurse, with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and other medical staff to provide patient care.
