Job summary

Tampa General Hospital seeks a Part-Time Surgical Technologist for the Cardiovascular Transplant Operating Room. You will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures, managing instruments and supplies, and maintaining a clean surgical environment. Candidates should possess a CST certification and have at least one year of relevant experience, ideally with CVTOR or transplant knowledge.

Qualifications

• Active CST Certification from AST or NCCT.
• Minimum of 1 year working experience.
• CVTOR and/or transplant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical and endoscopy procedures.
• Maintain and care for surgical supplies and equipment.
• Clean and restock the surgical suite as needed.

Surgical Technologist - Part-Time - Cardiovascular Transplant Operating Room - ( 250000CI )

Description

Under general supervision of medical and nursing staff, following policies, procedures and professional guidelines assists with surgical and endoscopy procedures; provides, assembles and cares for surgical supplies, instruments and equipment before, during and after procedures. Assists with cleaning, restocking and processing of the surgical suite, instruments and equipment, as needed. Identifies and reports situations requiring intervention to the RN or Clinician. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Qualifications

Graduate of Surgical Technologist training program, with active and maintained CST Certification from AST or NCCT, OR completion of a Hospital Based Surgical Tech Program, equivalent Military experience and a minimum of 1 year working experience.

CVTOR and/or transplant experience preferred.
