Job summary

Virtua is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist during surgical procedures under RN/Physician supervision. You will handle instruments, supplies and equipment to maintain a sterile field and support patient care during operations.

Role requires one year OR experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and NJ CE requirements; BLS and surgical tech certification are preferred. On-site, 1st shift, 40 hours weekly with sign-on bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• One year OR training or experience.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Training Program.
• High school graduate or equivalent; BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for, prepares, sets-up and assists during any surgical procedure and supports nursing/ancillary teams by transporting and transferring patients.
• Prepares instruments and supplies for future procedures.
• Collects and handles specimens according to policy and procedures.
