Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will be responsible for delivering surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality, and coordinating care with the surgical team to uphold Mercy Service Standards.

Minimum qualifications include a High-School Diploma or GED, English proficiency, and American Heart Association BLS certification. Non-certified applicants with relevant experience may be considered.

Qualifications

• Education: High-School Diploma or GED required.
• Licensure: Non-certified applicants may be considered with acceptable surgical technology experience.
• Experience: Non-certified applicants may be considered with acceptable surgical technology experience.
• Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Must understand English both written and spoken, must be able to safely and successfully perform job-related functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Perform the primary function of a Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room.
• Maintain accountability for the provision of surgical instruments to the surgical team.
• Coordinate the care of the surgical patient with other team members, while safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality.
