Job summary

NurseDeck Inc. is seeking a capable Surgical Technologist to support operating room teams in pre-, intra-, and postoperative phases. You will ensure sterile environments, pass instruments, and assist surgeons during procedures with accuracy and teamwork.

Required: an accredited Surgical Technology program and at least 2 years of recent experience; CST certification preferred. You will contribute to patient safety and stay abreast of evolving surgical techniques and equipment.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree or completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical procedures, and medical instruments.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent teamwork.
• Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, ensuring sterile environments and necessary equipment availability.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and anticipating surgical needs.
• Maintain sterile technique and follow infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Set up, test, and ensure functionality of surgical equipment and instruments.
• Monitor and manage surgical supplies, replenishing materials as needed.
• Handle specimen collection and ensure proper transport for laboratory analysis.
• Support postoperative cleaning and sterilization of equipment and operating rooms.
• Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons to ensure smooth procedures.
• Stay informed on new surgical techniques and advancements in technology.
