Job summary

Townsen Memorial Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to scrub in and assist the physician for all cases. After completion of each case, the technologist will standby for sterile processing, including decontamination, prep, packaging, sterilization and storage.

Responsibilities include instrument inventory, room turnover, and adherence to safety and privacy policies. Requires CST certification, BLS and formal surgical technology training.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Formal surgical technology training is required.
• Current CST certification or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification is required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Scrub in and assist the physician for all cases.
• Maintain sterile technique for OR prep and procedures.
• Reviews instrumentation needs and manages carts and inventory.
• Document sterilization loads and biological testing results.
• Facilitate room turnovers and ensure safety and cleanliness.
