Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association
• Color vision screening as applicable by unit

Responsibilities

• Handles instruments, supplies and equipment during surgical procedures.
• Ensures patient safety and quality of care by performing technical tasks for staff during and after procedures.
• Works across multiple surgical service lines and may assist with neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Education

Accredited surgical technology program

NBSTSA CST or NCCT TS-C preferred
