Job summary

Mercy Joplin is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in the Operating Room. You will provide sterile instruments, support the surgical team, and ensure patient rights and confidentiality are maintained according to Mercy Service Standards.

The role requires a High-School Diploma or GED, BLS certification, and English proficiency. Non-certified applicants with relevant experience may be considered; preferred is an associate degree or postsecondary certificate in Surgical Technology.

Qualifications

• Education: High-School Diploma or GED is required.
• Licensure: Non-certified applicants may be considered with experience in surgical technology.
• Experience: Non-certified applicants may be considered with acceptable surgical technology experience.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Must understand English written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical instruments to the surgical team.
• Coordinate care of the surgical patient with team members.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards.
