Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Operating Room team. You will be responsible for providing surgical instruments to the surgical team and coordinating care with other members of the team, while upholding patient rights and confidentiality.

Minimum qualifications include a High-School Diploma or GED; state licensure in Surgical Technology; and BLS. Non-licensed applicants with relevant experience may be considered for other locations. English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma or GED is required.
• Postsecondary certificate or associate degree in Surgical Technology preferred.
• Surgical Technology License required for the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Non-licensed/certified Surgical Technologists may be considered for other locations.
• Must understand English both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Performs the primary function of a Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room.
• Maintains accountability for the provision of surgical instruments to the surgical team.
• Coordinates the care of the surgical patient with other team members.
