Job summary

Scripps Health is seeking a Surgical Tech to join the System-wide Resource Services team in San Diego. You will ensure operating rooms are sterile and ready for cases, scrub for procedures, and monitor the sterile field throughout surgery.

Posting notes a full-time, benefits-eligible role with a retention bonus incentive up to 7K for eligible new hires and travel to multiple campus locations in the San Diego area.

Qualifications

• One year recent experience as a Surgical Technologist and completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist training program.
• Current American Heart Association BLS required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to multi-task and work well in a team environment.
• Detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operating rooms are ready for surgery with sterile supplies and equipment.
• Monitor sterile field throughout procedures.
• Scrub for cases and anticipate needs of surgeon and team.
• Transport patients and coordinate room turnover.
• Coordinate outside vendors and train others in the operating room.
• Perform other duties to ensure smooth operations in surgical services.
