Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or eligible under applicable law.
• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to aseptic techniques.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating treatment with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide basic patient support and connect patients to clinical equipment.
• Maintain sterile environment and practice aseptic techniques in the OR.
• Participate in surgical time-outs and verify the correct surgical site.
• Manage supplies and instruments with accurate counts.
• Handle specimen identification and disposal of sharps; perform dressing changes.
• Follow universal precautions, initiate emergency procedures, and perform QC checks.
• Support patient admission, discharge, and post-mortem care including specimen collection.
• Assist with billing and on-call duties; act as a preceptor for students.
• Adhere to policies, protocols, and safety standards to ensure quality.
