Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team at Seattle's First Hill campus. You will assemble instrumentation, equipment and supplies to facilitate surgical procedures and collaborate with RNs, surgeons and anesthesia providers to deliver patient-centered care.

Requirements include completion of a surgical technician program, Washington regulatory registration at hire, and BLS certification. OR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate of completion of a surgical technician vocational program or documentation of equivalent training.
• Washington Surgical Technologist Registration upon hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
• 6 months of Experience in a hospital operating room.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate surgical procedures through assembly of instrumentation, equipment and supplies.
• Work as a member of the surgical team under the supervision of a registered nurse, with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, to provide patient care.
• Collaborate with other medical staff to ensure smooth operation and patient safety.
• Deliver care in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the Surgical Services department and Swedish Medical Center.
