Job summary

Providence is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the surgical team at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. You will assemble instrumentation, equipment and supplies to facilitate surgical procedures under RN supervision and with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, ensuring patient-focused care.

The role requires completion of a surgical technician vocational program, Washington Surgical Technologist registration, and BLS certification; OR experience is preferred and benefits begin on day one.

Qualifications

• Certificate of completion of a surgical technician vocational program (must be provided).
• Washington Surgical Technologist Registration upon hire (required).
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire (required).
• 6 months of Experience in a hospital operating room (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the surgical procedure through assembly of instrumentation, equipment and supplies.
• Work as a member of the surgical team under the supervision of a registered nurse, with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and other medical staff to provide patient care.

The Surgical Technologist (ST) is responsible for facilitating the surgical procedure through the assembly of instrumentation, equipment and supplies. The Surgical Technologist work as a member of the surgical team under the supervision of a registered nurse, with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and other medical support personnel to provide patient care in a manner consistent with the mission, vision and values of the Surgical Services department and Swedish Medical Center.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Certificate of completion of a surgical technician vocational program or documentation of equivalent training.
