Job summary

Wayne UNC Health Care seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room. You will assist in preparation and care of surgical patients, maintain sterile technique, and support the surgical team across a 13-suite OR environment.

Applicants should graduate from a Surgical Technologist program, hold BCLS certification, and preferably have one year of scrub technologist experience. This is an onsite, full‑time role with shift variability.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist program.
• BCLS Certification required.
• One year as a surgical scrub technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation and care of surgical patients under the general direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Maintains and monitors the sterile field and aseptic technique.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgical team and responds to requests promptly.
