Job summary

VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER in Renton, WA seeks an experienced Surgical Technician to join the Surgical Services team. The role focuses on scrubbing, instrument prep, sterile field maintenance, and supporting room turnover while adhering to surgeon preferences and pathology specimen handling.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, current WA registration (certification preferred), strong English communication, neat appearance, and excellent interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Current registration to practice as a surgical technologist in the State of Washington.
• Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and prepare instruments for use.
• Assure that surgeon preferences are current and followed.
• Prepare specimens for sending to Pathology and transport as needed.
• Coordinate room turnover and setup in a timely manner.
• Follow autoclave use and ensure sterile packaging integrity.
• Coordinate stocking with staff members and observe dress code.
