Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technician to join the Surgical Services Team. The role involves preparing the operating room, scrubbing in for procedures, and assisting with specimen handling under the supervision of a registered nurse.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED; <2 years or military experience is preferred. A Surgical Technician license is listed among preferred certifications. A generous benefits package and sign-on bonus are offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares operating room for surgical patient, reviews preference cards to determine surgeon needs, obtains supplies and equipment, ensures room cleanliness, and assists with opening sterile supplies.
• Performs surgical scrub duties and assists with collection, identification, and disposition of cultures and specimens.
• Helps turnover of room and returns supplies, instruments, and equipment to proper locations.
