Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the surgical team in a fast-paced perioperative setting. You will prepare and maintain instrumentation and supplies, while applying sterile technique under RN supervision.

Required graduation from an accredited surgical technology program and NBSTSA certification within one year of hire, plus current BLS. The role involves 8-hour rotating shifts and on-call weekend responsibility.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program.
• NBSTSA certification within one year of hire date and maintained thereafter.
• Current BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient care to the surgical patient under the supervision of the RN and in collaboration with the surgeon.
• Scrub role: select, prepare, and maintain instrumentation, equipment, and supplies.
• Apply sterile and aseptic technique and adapt to unpredictable perioperative situations.
• Work as a member of the surgical team with knowledge of anatomy and procedures.
