Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of surgical technology or graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing as an LPN required.
• National certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within first 60 days of employment.
• If an LPN, must hold an unencumbered LPN license or multi-state licensure privileges.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care to meet quality and service goals.
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure operating room safety and instrument readiness.
• Prepare the surgical environment and supplies, assist with patient preparation and positioning.
• Support surgeon and licensed staff during invasive and non-invasive procedures and document care.
