Job summary

Surgery Partners Brand is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room under surgeons and circulating nurses. Responsibilities include preparing equipment, patient prep, and assisting during procedures in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Qualified candidates have CPR certification (or will obtain within 90 days) and at least one year of experience in interventional radiology or a related area. The role emphasizes safety, sterility, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum one year experience in interventional radiology, cardiac cath lab, or vascular preferred.
• Knowledge of over the wire experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain surgical equipment.
• Set up instruments, drapes, and solutions before operations.
• Perform pre-operation skin prep and equipment checks.
• Assemble sterile and non-sterile equipment and ensure proper function.
• Prepare patients by cleansing and disinfecting incision sites.
• Transport and position patients for surgery.
• Assist team by donning sterile gowns and gloves.
• Scrub and assist the surgeon during procedures.
• Complete daily maintenance records and logs.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments.
• Maintain inventory of supplies.
• Clean the operating room after cases.
• Transfer patients to recovery and restock the room.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
