Job summary

Larkin Community Hospital, Inc. in South Miami, FL, is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our perioperative team. You will prepare the OR, instruments, and sterile field, scrub during procedures, and assist with counts while supporting patient safety.

Under RN direction, you will collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia staff, maintain sterile technique, and ensure an efficient operating room environment. Prior OR scrub experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal Surgical Technology program or equivalent training.
• CAAHEP/ABHES accreditation preferred; associate degree preferred.
• Previous Surgical Technologist experience in acute-care OR preferred; scrubbing in multiple specialties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room, instruments, supplies, and sterile field for procedures.
• Scrub role: pass instruments, maintain sterile technique, assist with counts.
• Support patient safety and collaborate with perioperative team.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and maintain efficient OR environment.
