Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center in Carmel, IN is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Cardiac Services | Cardiovascular Operating Room team.

You will prepare the sterile and non-sterile instrument sets, hand instruments to the surgeon, assist with patient positioning, and help maintain instrument counts throughout procedures. Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date (AHA or Red Cross).
• NBSTSA Surgical Tech credential obtained prior to hire date.
• Education path includes high school equivalency with experience or an associate/technical degree.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
• Hand required instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor counts during procedures.
• Assist surgeons' provision of hemostasis during surgery.
