Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Mount Pleasant, TX seeks a Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room and prepare the sterile field for cases. You will pass instruments, maintain aseptic technique, and support the surgical team to ensure patient safety.

The role requires completion of a Surgical Technology program or LVN/LPN program, BLS certification, and eligibility for CST or LVN/LPN licensure within 180 days of graduation. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of the Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Certification as Surgical Technologist within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and care for pre-operative patients and maintain aseptic technique.
• Establish and maintain sterile field, pass instruments, and assist the physician.
• Scrub in multiple specialty areas and assist with providing patient comfort and safety.
• Adhere to universal precautions and OR sanitation policies.
