Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients in the OR setting. You will maintain aseptic technique, transport patients, and position them for surgery, while supporting the surgical team.

Responsibilities include scrubbing in multiple specialty areas, establishing sterile fields, passing instruments, and preparing the OR per case requirements. Requires BLS and certification within time frame.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of the Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the sterile field and pass instruments to the physician.
• Scrub and set up cases using physician preference cards.
• Assist in preparing OR for each surgical case and transport patients as needed.
• Assist with patient care before and during surgical procedures under RN supervision.
