Job summary

UCSF Health in San Francisco is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will arrange sterile setups, pass instruments and supplies, prepare sterile materials, and assist with cleanup and equipment checks to ensure patient safety and efficient surgical flow.

The role requires CPR certification, graduation from a Surgical Technologist program (or equivalent), and flexibility to work across UCSF Health locations.

Qualifications

• Active American Heart Association CPR Certification.
• Graduate of Surgical Technologist Training Program; or equivalent.
• High School Diploma; or equivalent experience.
• The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations.

Responsibilities

• Arrange sterile setups for surgical procedures.
• Pass instruments, sponges, and sutures to surgeons and surgical assistants.
• Prepare sterile supplies and restock operating room materials.
• Assist in the cleanup of the operating room and check equipment placement and operation.

During surgical procedures, may be responsible for special trays, grafting materials, and patient data recording. Also, perform other related duties as required.
