Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Main OR to support safe, efficient surgical procedures.

This full-time day-shift role involves preparing the sterile field, passing instruments, positioning patients, and maintaining instrument counts. Qualifications include BLS within 30 days, NCCT or NBSTSA Surgical Tech credentials, and a high school diploma or equivalent with related experience or an associate/technical degree.

Qualifications

• BLS provider within 30 days of hire or transfer date.
• Surgical Tech credentialed from NCCT or NBSTSA prior to hire date or transfer date.
• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile drapes, solutions, and instruments.
• Hand instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery.
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Maintain instruments and track counts throughout procedures.

Education

High School diploma or GED and 2 years cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience

BLS Provider (within 30 days of hire)
