Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school and completion of an approved course for Surgical Technologists.
• Current certification/licensure is required.
• Minimum of two years surgical/operating room experience preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills and problem solving skills.
• Broad knowledge of operating room instrumentation and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon during procedures and observe surgery techniques.
• Set up operating room and prepare/clean after procedures.
• Handle specimens according to policies and maintain sterile field.
• Maintain universal precautions and wear PPE for procedures.
• Assist in safe patient transport to recovery.
