Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) or TS-C (Tech in Surgery) certification required.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prepare sterile instrumentation and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Assist surgical team with verification process and intra-operative procedures.
• Assist with case closure protocol and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Review surgical bookings and select instrumentation using preference cards.
• Inspect instruments for sterility, safety and function, maintaining sterile field.
