The Surgical Technologist is an essential member of the surgical team, ensuring appropriate selection, preparation, and sterility of instrumentation and equipment necessary to contribute to a positive outcome for the surgical patient. They are responsible for assisting the team by scrubbing in on general OR cases.
Position: Surgical Technologist • Department: Operating Room • Schedule: Per Diem – Full Shift (8+ hours, day shift starting at 6:30 a.m.)
Education: Accredited Surgical Tech Program, Associate’s Degree or above.
Certifications, licenses, registrations required: ARC/STSA‑Accredited Surgical Technology Program; or NBSTSA Certification; or meet the Massachusetts Surgical Technologist Law certification grandfather requirement (employed as a surgical technologist in a healthcare facility on or before July1,2013).
Compensation Range: $33.08 – $49.15 per hour. Base pay is determined by education, experience, and licensure/certifications relevant to the position.
