Job summary

Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, NY is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room, anticipating surgeon needs and providing instruments, sutures and supplies.

Job Details

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of the procedures performed and anticipates the surgeon's needs, including providing instruments, sutures and supplies
• Contribute to the patient's safety by collaborating with the interdisciplinary team

Requirements

• Experience scrubbing into a variety of specialties preferred
• Knowledge of regulatory agencies and practice (eg. Nurse Practice Act, Infection Control, OSHA, DOH)
• Successful completion from an accredited school or college course for Surgical Technologist required
• Certification from the Surgical Technology Exam or eligibility to sit for the exam
• BLS/AED training

Salary Range

USD $49.77 - USD $49.77 /Hr.
