Qualifications

• Certification from the Surgical Technology Exam or eligibility to sit for the exam.

The Surgical Technologist assists with the nursing care of patients in the operating room by performing routine and delegated duties according to the standard of practice and policies of the hospital and department. The surgical technologist functions as a scrub assistant. Surgical Technicians function under the supervision of a registered nurse at all times. A registered nurse must be available immediately in case of an emergency.

Salary Range

• USD $42.01 - USD $52.52 /Hr.
