Job summary

Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium, MI is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our team. The role supports RNs and physicians during operative procedures, sterilizes instruments, and ensures supplies are ready for use in the OR and Endoscopy.

Full-time position (0.8 FTE) with on-call requirements; benefits include PTO from day one, retirement plan with match, and wellness programs. Sign-on bonus is offered to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent
• At least 1 year healthcare/patient care experience
• Surgical tech program graduate or OR tech experience preferred
• BLS certification preferred

Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium, MI is seeking a SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST to join our team!

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assists RN and physician during operative and invasive procedures
• Cleans and sterilizes surgical instruments
• Ensures availability and condition of supplies.
• This position will work in the OR and Endoscopy.

HOURS:

Full Time; 0.8 FTE or 64 hours per pay period. WEEKDAY, WEEKEND, AND HOLIDAY ON CALL REQUIRED.

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient care standards normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One year of healthcare/patient care experience required.
• Former operating room surgical tech experience or a graduate of a surgical tech program strongly preferred.
• BLS certification preferred.
