Job summary

Aspirus, Inc is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and organizing supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures while collaborating with surgical team members to ensure patient safety.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of surgical standards, relevant experience, and is a graduate of a certified surgical technologist program. Full benefits packages, PTO accrual, and wellness programs are part of the employment offer.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a surgical technologist program or related field.
• Three or more years of related experience in the operating room.
• Current BLS certification or obtainable within 90 days of hire.

As a SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST in the Operating Room at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital, you are responsible for planning and organizing supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures. Collaboration with all surgical team members is key to assuring the safe and efficient passage of a patient through surgery. You promote education of yourself, peers, and students.

Experience / Qualifications / Licensure

• Knowledge of surgical standards and practices normally acquired through graduation from a surgical technologist program or related field and/or three or more years of related experience in the operating room.
• Graduate of a certified surgical technologist program and/or certification beneficial.
• One‑year acute care surgical experience beneficial.
• Current BLS or obtained within 90 days of hire.
