Job summary

St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City is seeking a Surgical Technologist for night shift to support staff during operative procedures and maintain a safe, prepared operating room environment. You will precept other techs as needed and ensure quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced OR setting.

The role requires CST/TS-C certification and BCLS certification within 30 days, with hospital experience highly preferred.

Qualifications

• BCLS certification or instructor certification required within 30 days of start date.
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) or TS-C (Tech in Surgery - Certified) credential required.
• At least 1 year of hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff during operative and invasive procedures and ensure OR readiness.
• Clean Operating Rooms and equipment between patients in collaboration with Housekeeping and Central Processing.
• Participate in patient safety checks including correct patient identification and procedure verification in the OR.
• Anticipate and meet the needs of the surgeon based on experience.
• Follow universal precautions and PPE protocols and maintain a safe patient care environment.
