Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus, OH is seeking a Surgical Technologist or Certified Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room under the supervision of surgeons and nurses. You will prepare sterile fields, pass instruments, and support the team during procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining aseptic technique, assisting with draping, handling specimens, and helping with room turnover. Night shift, 36 hours per week, with a sign-on bonus and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Experience in surgical setting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile fields, gather supplies, and deliver instruments.
• Act as 2nd assistant to the surgeon and assist with draping and exposure.
• Maintain aseptic technique and assist in post-operative room turnover.
• Assist with positioning, specimen handling, and equipment readiness.
• Monitor and support anesthesia and sterile processing as needed.
