Edward Elmhurst Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Main Operating Room in Elmhurst, IL. This full-time role runs 6:45am to 3:15pm with on-call rotation and requires a surgical technology program graduate, CPR certification, and prior operating room experience.

Responsibilities include preparing instrumentation, ensuring proper handling of supplies, and assisting the surgeon throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved surgical technology program.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Previous experience in surgery or on-the-job experience.
• Certification in surgical technology preferred.

Responsabilités

• Identifies and obtains the required surgical instrumentation, equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Exchanges drug trays under supervision of licensed staff.
• Cares for and handles surgical instrumentation properly.
• Demonstrates scrub responsibilities according to physician's preference.
• Anticipates surgeon's needs for instruments and supplies during surgery.
