Job summary

eTeam is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Peoria, IL. This DAYS shift runs 9am to 3:30pm, with 40 hours per week. The role supports surgeons across a range of procedures, prepares sterile fields, and mentors other staff as needed.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of surgical tech experience, an accredited Surgical Technology degree or certificate, and BLS certification. You will join an on-site team, adapt to case needs, and help ensure patient safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as surgical technician.
• Associate degree or certificate in Surgical Technology.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Provides surgical technology to direct and indirect care and service.
• Assist surgeon, performs operative/invasive procedures.
• Prepares sterile field and sets up case so others can step in.
• Mentors RNs and other technologists; trains students as needed.
• Plans for intraoperative events and responds to changes quickly.
• Ensures patient privacy and maintains a calm, professional environment.
