Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the Labor and Delivery team. You will manage instruments, supplies, and equipment, supporting the Registered Nurse and surgical team to ensure smooth operations during procedures.

The role emphasizes assisting in patient preparation and care, anticipating surgeon needs, and contributing to safe, high-quality outcomes for our patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Surgical Technology program or six months of military training required.
• Current BLS certification or obtain within one month of start date.

Responsibilities

• Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and team members.
• Assist with patient preparation and transport.
• Support care team in delivering patient-specific duties.
• Respond to emergent situations per established procedures.
