Job summary

MercyOne Genesis in Davenport, IA is hiring a Surgical Technician to scrub during intraoperative patient care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, supporting our mission to keep communities healthy. Schedule: full-time, 36 hours/week, dayshift (0700–1930) with weekends (Fri–Sun).

Requires an accredited surgical technology program; CST certification is preferred but not required in Iowa, with CST within 18 months if working in Illinois; BLS; ability to work under pressure and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology.
• Completion of surgical tech apprenticeship or military program.
• BLS certified; must be a Mandatory Reporter.

Responsibilities

• Scrub role during intraoperative patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist in maintaining sterile technique and instrument handling.
• Support care standards and Genesis Medical Center philosophies.
