Job summary

MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in preparing patients and the OR under the supervision of an OR RN. You will assemble and utilize surgical instruments and equipment during procedures in a dynamic environment.

State registration is required, national certification preferred, and current BLS certification is required. This is a full-time days shift with some call and holiday requirements at Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, WA.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration required.
• National certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Current BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the care and preparation of the surgical patient and the operating room under direct supervision of an OR RN.
• Assemble, set-up, and use surgical instrumentation and equipment during procedures.
• Work in routine and potentially emergent/critical situations requiring both directed and independent decision-making.
