Job summary

MultiCare Capital Medical Center in Olympia, WA seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist to assist with care and preparation of the surgical patient and the operating room under the direct supervision of an operating room RN. The Surgical Technologist handles assembly, set-up, and use of surgical instrumentation and equipment during procedures.

Work is primarily routine but may become emergent, requiring both directed and independent decision-making.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Certified Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience.
• National certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Active Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration required prior to start date.
• Health Care Provider level CPR certification.
• Previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with care and preparation of the surgical patient and OR under the supervision of an OR RN.
• Assemble, set up and use surgical instrumentation and equipment during procedures.
• Operate in routine or emergent situations with appropriate decision-making.
