Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Surgical Technologist to facilitate safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. You will prepare the operating suite, assist with patient positioning, and pass instruments to the physician during operations, while maintaining instrument counts throughout surgery.

Requires accredited Surgical Technologist program, BLS certs, and at least 1 year of experience. CST/TS-C certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Accredited Surgical Technologist program required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST or TS-C) certification preferred.
• One year of experience in a surgical environment preferred.

Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.Must maintain requirements dictated in clinical ladder.
