Job summary

Maine Medical Center in Biddeford, ME is seeking a Surgical Technologist II to ensure all elements are in place for procedures. The role includes teaching staff and students and meeting criteria for the CST I level.

New graduates are welcome, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Experienced CSTs are eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus. Current MaineHealth employees are not eligible for bonuses. The pay range and benefits reflect the organization’s valuation of surgical services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology.
• Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting required within three months of start date.
• Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and arrange instruments and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Assist in maintaining sterile field and assuring patient safety during surgeries.
• Participate in teaching staff and students and support CST I role.
