Job summary

Cooper University Health Care is seeking a trained Surgical Technologist to join its fast-paced operating rooms team. You will assist in procedures under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and physician, preparing sterile instruments and maintaining a sterile field throughout cases.

The role requires 1 year of experience if possible and graduation from a recognized Surgical Technologist program. Certification or eligibility for NBSTSA credential is required, with weekend and call

• Must be certified or eligible for NBSTSA credential.

Responsibilities

Short Description

The trained Surgical technologist, under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse and/or physician, is assigned as an assistant to specific service areas in the Surgical Suite.

Experience Required

• 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience is preferred

Education Requirements

• Graduate of a nationally or regionally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologists

License/Certification Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist Credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or its successor, or other nationally recognized credentialing organization (e.g. NCCT - National Center for Competency Testing, etc.)

Special Requirements

• 7P-730A
• Weekend, holiday, and call rotation required
