Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ seeks a Surgical Technologist to assist in a busy surgical suite under direct supervision of RPN/physician. The role supports a high-volume OR team across multiple service areas and shift rotations.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team as a Surgical Technologist under supervision.
• Support intraoperative care in the Surgical Suite with multiple ORs.
• Participate in call rotations, weekends and holidays as required.

Short Description

The trained Surgical technologist, under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse and/or physician, is assigned as an assistant to specific service areas in the Surgical Suite.

Experience Required

• 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience is preferred

Education Requirements

• Graduate of a nationally or regionally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologists

License/Certification Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist Credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or its successor, or other nationally recognized credentialing organization (e.g. NCCT – National Center for Competency Testing, etc.)

Special Requirements

• Weekend, holiday, and call rotation required
