Job summary

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health’s Perioperative Services – Main OR is seeking a Surgical Technologist II to join our operating room team. You will scrub in for surgical procedures, maintain the sterile field, and anticipate the surgeon’s needs to support safe, efficient care.

Responsibilities include handling instruments, assisting with equipment, training new staff, and safeguarding patient dignity and privacy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of surgical technology required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
• BLS at hire.

• Shares in OR suite preparation; uses and maintains equipment and supplies used for specific procedures.
• Anticipates the surgeon's needs to expedite the procedure.
• Utilizes surgical instruments and knowledge of step-by-step sequences for procedures.
• Assumes shared responsibility for proper handling of surgical specimens.
• Assists in training and orientation of new employees.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Monday - Friday, 7am-5:30pm

$15,000 sign on bonus

(eligible for external candidates)

DH benefits start the first day of employment.

Acts as a member of the surgical team who primarily functions in a scrubbing capacity. May assist in circulating duties in the surgical suite.

Responsibilities

Qualifications
