Job summary

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist II for the Outpatient Surgery Center in Lebanon, NH. The role supports the surgical team in scrubbing and may assist in circulating duties within the OR.

The position requires graduation from an approved surgical tech program, CST certification, and BLS; NH licensure is expected. Work involves a Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–5:30 PM schedule with four 10-hour shifts or three 10-hour shifts depending on staffing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of surgical technology or program accepted by the Association of Surgical Technologies.

Responsibilities

• Maintains aseptic technique while providing a quiet environment in the OR suite, respecting the dignity and privacy of the patient.
• Assists in the OR by using and maintaining equipment and supplies for specific surgical procedures.
• Anticipates surgeon needs to expedite surgical flow.
• Handles instruments and follows step-by-step sequences for surgical cases.
• Assists in proper handling of surgical specimens.
• Assists in training and orientation of new staff.
• Adheres to CMS conditions of participation.
• Participates in room turnover and assists in Central Sterile processing; performs other duties as assigned.

$15,000 sign on bonus(eligible for external candidates)
