This role requires compliance with Mercy Service Standards and patient confidentiality. Minimum qualifications include a high-school diploma or GED and BLS certification, with English proficiency essential for safe practice; non-certified applicants with surgicaltech experience

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma or GED required.
• Surgical technology experience considered for non-certified applicants.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Must understand English in written and spoken form.

Responsibilities

• Performs the primary function of a Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room.
• Maintains accountability for the provision of surgical instruments to the surgical team.
• Coordinates the care of the surgical patient with other team members.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality; adheres to Mercy standards.
