Job summary

Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville, VA is seeking a Surgical Technologist II to assist surgeons and nurses in the operating room, preparing for aseptic technique and supporting the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology (required)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Must be certified by CST/NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT (required)
• Registered CST with VA Board of Medicine if residing in Virginia (required)

Responsibilities

• Assemble supplies and equipment required for operative and invasive procedures.
• Provide supplies to the surgical team during procedures and maintain aseptic technique.
• Report implanted devices, catheters, drains, and packing to circulator.
• Prepare and perform surgical skin prep as indicated by procedure.
• Assist with pre- and post-procedure cleaning of the operative/invasive room.
• Demonstrate understanding of patient Advance Directives.
• Demonstrate knowledge of equipment, instrumentation, lasers, MIS, laparoscopy, and robotics.
